A couple with three children waited in line at San Francisco's Pier 41 to purchase tickets for a boat trip to Alcatraz.
Others watched with varying degrees of sympathy and irritation as the young children fidgeted, whined, and punched one another. The frazzled parents reprimanded them to no avail.
Finally they reached the ticket window.
"Five tickets, please," the father said. "Two round trip, three one way."

The Campbell River, British Columbia, Royal Canadian Mounted Police station received this question from a resident through the feedback section of the Campbell River crime page:
“I would like to know how it is possible for police officers to continually harass people and get away with it?”
In response, a sergeant posted this reply:
A snail was involved in an accident that resulted in his shell being torn completely off.
Hearing about the accident, one of his friends rushed over (as much as a snail can rush) to his friend's house.
"I heard about your accident!" he exclaimed, and then asked, "How are you feeling?"
The recovering snail answered, "Sluggish."
