Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
You may have noticed that last Chicken Thursday's news was actually the news from the previous Sunday. That was another error between my keyboard and my desk chair — I got the whole thing written and then never pushed the publish button.
So this week's news is running a little behind itself. Last Thursday I was going to tell you we'd finally gotten some rain after a long dry stretch, but you never heard that, and it isn't raining today. What I can tell you is that the dog park next door is up and running. The grassy area on the human side was roped off for a while so the sod could take root, and that's ready now too. All that's left is a picnic bench and a cement anchor for a sign, or something. We'll see what shows up.
Today's video share rounds up the funniest moments from Beijing's World Humanoid Robot Games — robots boxing, sprinting, and mostly face-planting in front of a live crowd. As ominous as the move to robotics can be at times, these bloopers are just plain funny.

Yesterday I spoke on AI at the potluck lunch for our church's 55+ ministry group. Grandma Cybersalt and I got a nice meal out of it, and we had an enjoyable time with our peers. I do have to admit, though, that it still surprises me to realize I actually belong to that age group now and have for a few years.
