Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

Congratulations to our eldest grandson on his graduation from elementary school. Wow, grandkids are real reminders that I am older than I feel.

I can't remember if I have l already shared a video similar to today's, but I found this one very satisfying so I will risk the repeat. I also find it fascinating that the fellow in this video still has all of his fingers!

Take One

A pastor, a doctor and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers.  The engineer fumed, "What's with these guys?  We must have been waiting for 15 minutes!"

The doctor chimed in, "I don't know, but I've never seen such ineptitude!"

The pastor said, "Hey, here comes the greens keeper.  Let's have a word with him."

"Hi George.  Say, what's with that group ahead of us?  They're rather slow, aren't they?"

The greens keeper replied, "Oh, yes, that's a group of blind fire-fighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime."

The group was silent for a moment. 

The pastor said, "That's so sad.  I will say a special prayer for them tonight."

The doctor said, "Good idea.  And I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist buddy and see if there's anything he can do for them."

The engineer said, "Why can't these guys play at night?"

Some people try to punish themselves for their sins. They do not stand on the promises of forgiveness and Christ's propitiation.

When God added two beautiful gifts to our family, I pondered and prayed over the decision of what their names would be. There was no problem landing on their first names; it was their second names I went back and forth on, ultimately landing on Christina Joy, followed by Jennifer Dawn.

You may be wondering what this introduction has to do with the title of this devotional. Hang in there while I explain.

I have been known to have a slight to moderate issue with what is sometimes referred to as OCD. I believe there is a place for everything, and everything has its place. Over the years, I’ve become less of a fusspot, but others might disagree with my humble assessment.
