The only person I can think of for whom being in denial worked out OK was Moses.

In preparing today's mailing I discovered I really messed up the news last week. The link to Rev. James Snyder's article was not correct. So today the news has twice the Snyder it usually has!
Rev. James Snyder has been thinking about all the things there are to do and the things he is able to do. You can read "The Strange Myth of Multitasking" at:
www.cybersalt.org/gods-penman/the-strange-myth-of-multitasking
He has also been pondering how marriage adds a new meaning to his concept of "Tomorrow." You can read "I’ll Do It First Thing Tomorrow" at:
www.cybersalt.org/gods-penman/i-ll-do-it-first-thing-tomorrow
Finally, the Westside Bible Church website has been updated with the audio recording of my sermon from last Sunday. It's a look at the question of what happens to us when we die and are awaiting the resurrection: soul-sleep or conscious with Jesus. You can listen to "Places Everybody!" at:
www.westsidefamily.org/messages/places-everybody
Enjoy the rest of today's mailing!

I didn't know if my granddaughter had learned her colors yet, so I decided to test her.
I would point out something and ask what color it was. She would tell me, and always she was correct. But it was fun for me, so I continued.
At last, she headed for the door, saying sagely,
"Grandma, I think you should try to figure out some of these yourself!"
If Mom says "No," ask Nana;
if Nana says "No," ... who are we kidding?? Nana never says "No!"

"You don't have a soul; you are a soul. You have a body."
- C. S. Lewis
Little Mikey and his family were having Sunday dinner at his grandmother's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When Little Mikey received his plate, he started eating right away.
"Mikey! Please wait until we say our prayer," said his mother.
"I don't need to," the boy replied.
"Of course, you do," his mother insisted through gritted teeth. "We always say a prayer before eating at our house."
"That's at our house," Mikey explained. "But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook."
Featured Illustrations are items well suited for illustrating or inspiring a point in a sermon, speech, or devotional. Funny, moving, or perhaps even graphic, the point of them is the point you make with them.

Cybersalt's funny pictures collection has been years in the making and continues to grow. We are also in the process of moving images over from our old site so check back often. Don't forget to check out our funny cat pictures, funny dog pictures, funny elephant pictures, and take your turn to be funny.
Here's where we keep our funny car pictures.
Over the years, some of the most popular pages on the Cybersalt site have featured Funny Cat Pictures. We have to admit that even though cats often look at humans like they owe the feline world something (remember dogs have owners and cats have staff), cats aren't as bad as a lot of the press that they get.
And so, whether you are a cat lover or tolerator, we hope you enjoy these funny cat pictures. And, of course, if you have any funny cat pictures you want to share with the world, feel free to send them to us to post here.
Some say the world can be divided into two types - cat people and dog people. For the cat people of the planet, Cybersalt has the Funny Cat Archive. For the dog people we have this Funny Dog Pictures archive.
It's dedicated to the memory of Maggie - Pastor Tim and family's dog. The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
Here's our funny horse pictures collection.
We think Cybersalt's Funny Christmas Pictures Collection is the best on the net.
We hope you'll enjoy each one and share them with your online family and friends.
Merry Christmas!
