Cybersalt News

Pastor Tim and Grandma Cybersalt in front of a huge pile of potatoes Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

There was no mailing last Sunday. Grandma Cybersalt and I were away to the AGC West Conference in MacGregor, Manitoba. Besides great preaching, reconnecting with friends and colleagues, good food, a change in scenery, mile-long trains, a tour of a very progressive Hutterite community, and more, we enjoyed a tour of a 9000 acre farm, 800 of which is being used to grow potatoes. As you can tell from the picture on the right, they're doing pretty well with the potatoes! (click the image to enlarge it)

There is a "newish" funny picture on the Cybersalt site today (I added it last week). Beware when tanning in your crocs. You'll find "Croc Tan" at:
www.cybersalt.org/funny-pictures/croc-tan

Enjoy the rest of today's mailing!

Today's Clean Pun

Johann Strauss

hiker snowJohann Strauss was an avid mountain climber who once waltzed himself into deep trouble. He lost his footing and found himself hanging by his fingertips over a bottomless gorge.

Another climber heroically came to his rescue and just managed to grab Johann by a strap of his backpack to save the Maestro's life.

Since then, the act of trying to get out of a seemingly hopeless situation has come to be known as grasping at Strauss.

man4Lonely and alone, discouraged and empty hearted
That's when a man needs a brother

When the burden is heavy, the load too much to bear
That's when a man needs a brother

When in despair, and needing someone to care
That's when a man needs a brother

When the strong arm on your shoulders make the tears flow free
That's when a man needs a brother

When the words, "we'll make it through together" seem so sweet
That's when a man needs a brother

When courage is needed and strength to carry on
That's when a man needs a brother

When you think you can do it alone
That's when a man needs a brother
