When two egotists meet, it's an I for an I.

The secretary picked up the phone and heard a very "countryfied" voice on the other end saying; "I want to talk to the head hog at the trough!"
Puzzled, the secretary said, "Excuse me sir?"
He repeated; "I want to talk to the head hog at the trough!"
She then realized the man wanted to talk to the pastor. Somewhat indignant she said, "Sir if you want to talk to our pastor, you will have to address him properly. You should call him Pastor, or Reverend, or Brother, but you certainly cannot refer to him as the Head Hog at the Trough!"
The man on the other end said in a country drawl, "Oh I just wanted to donate $10,000 to the church."
The secretary promptly replied, "Can you hold please, I think the big pig just walked through the door!"

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
The security camera at Cybersalt World Headquarters keeps alerting me that it has detected a human, but in reality it is misidentifying a spider who is persistently building a web in that corner of of our carport. It's too bad that part of the training of the AI for that system didn't include watching the movie "Spiderman" so it could be less panicky and about my eight legged friend!
Today's video share is the same as last week's, but last week I forgot to rewrite the description and since the curious tale of Burro Schmidt's Tunnel is such a unique story, I am repeating it just in case someone missed it.

Helpful Executive
A young executive was leaving the office late one evening when he found the CEO standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand.
"Listen," said the CEO, "this is a very sensitive and important document here, and my secretary has gone for the night. Can you make this thing work?"
"Certainly," said the young executive. He turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.
"Excellent, excellent!" said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the machine. "I just need one copy."

Rejecting Rejection
The next time your application for a job is rejected fill this letter out and send it back.
Dear [Interviewer's Name]:
Thank you for your letter of [Date of Interview].
After careful consideration I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me employment with your firm. This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.
Despite [Firm's Name]'s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet with my needs at this time. Therefore, I will initiate employment with your firm immediately following graduation. I look forward to seeing you then.
Best of luck in rejecting future candidates.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

The Big One
- photo by Susan PageIf we live long enough, we will all experience the big one, and I am not referring to a natural disaster.
Whatever we decide the big one is … 40, 50, 60 or more, these milestone birthdays can bring us to a place of pondering the time we have left on this earth. Milestone birthdays can cause us to reflect on the past and the future. Will we have time to make a positive difference and influence this broken world with the love of Christ? Is now the right time to make disciples? Or more accurately, is there ever a wrong time to pray that by God’s Spirit, we can somehow point someone to Jesus?

A millionaire informed his attorney, "I want a stipulation in my will that my wife is to inherit everything, but ONLY if she remarries within six months of my death."
"Why such an odd stipulation?" asked the attorney.

Over the years, some of the most popular pages on the Cybersalt site have featured Funny Cat Pictures. We have to admit that even though cats often look at humans like they owe the feline world something (remember dogs have owners and cats have staff), cats aren't as bad as a lot of the press that they get.
And so, whether you are a cat lover or tolerator, we hope you enjoy these funny cat pictures. And, of course, if you have any funny cat pictures you want to share with the world, feel free to send them to us to post here.

It's dedicated to the memory of Maggie - Pastor Tim and family's dog. The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
