A small boy stunned his parents when he began to empty his pockets of nickels, dimes and quarters.

Finally his mother said, "Where did you get all that money.?

"At Sunday school," the boy replied nonchalantly.  "They have bowls of it."

You're No Longer A Kid When...

- Driving a car doesn't always sound like fun.

- You have friends who have kids.

- You are taller than the slide at the McDonald's playland.

- Your parents' jokes are now funny.

- Naps are good.

- When things go wrong, you can't just yell, "Do-over!"

- You WANT clothes for Christmas.

- You look in the surveillance camera monitor at the convenience store, wonder who that guy is standing at the counter with the bald spot, and then realize it is a shot of you from behind.

There was this preacher who was an avid golfer.

Every chance he could get, he could be found on the golf course swinging away.  It was an obsession.  One Sunday was a picture perfect day for golfing.  The sun was out, no clouds in the sky, and the temperature was just right.

The preacher was in a quandary as to what to do, and shortly, the urge to play golf overcame him.  He called an assistant to tell him that he was sick and could not do church, packed the car up, and drove three hours to a golf course where no one would recognize him.  Happily, he began to play the course.

An angel up above was watching the preacher and was quite perturbed.  He went to God and said, "Look at the preacher.  He should be punished for what he is doing."

God nodded in agreement.  The preacher teed up on the first hole.  He swung at the ball, and it sailed effortlessly through the air and landed right in the cup three hundred and fifty yards away.  A picture perfect hole-in-one.
He was amazed and excited.

The angel was a little shocked.  He turned to God and said, "Begging Your pardon, but I thought you were going to punish him."

God smiled.  "Think about it -- who can he tell?"

A trio of old veterans were bragging about the heroic exploits of their ancestors one afternoon down at the VFW hall.

"My great grandfather, at age 13," one declared proudly, "was a drummer boy at Shiloh."

"Mine," boasts another, "went down with Custer at the Battle of Little Big Horn."

"I'm the only soldier in my family," confessed vet number three, "but if my great grandfather was living today he'd be the most famous man in the world."

"Really? What'd he do?" his friends wanted to know.

"Nothing much. But he would be 165 years old."
