Car Alarms
I was with a friend in a cafe' when a noisy car alarm interrupted our conversation.
"What good are car alarms when no one pays any attention to them?" I wondered aloud.
"Some are quite effective," my friend corrected me.
"Last summer, my teenager spent a lot of time at the neighbors'.
Whenever I wanted him home, I'd go out to the driveway and jostle his car."

"We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive."

The Good Old Days
It was the finish line of the Boston marathon. A first time runner is hobbling away, having just finished.
A grizzled old marathoner looks at him and says "You'll feel a lot worse tomorrow." He pauses and then says, "But the really bad news is that in about 3 days, you're going to think you had fun today."

When I was concerned that some might think I was nuts to show cat videos before a sermon and asked for open mindedness to actually listen to the message, I thought I had actually linked to the proper sermon audio file. So if you did watch those videos and then listened and wondered, "How on earth does that relate?" the answer was, "It didn't." I have now fixed the link so the proper sermon recording is linked to right after the videos. Again, you'll find all of this at:

My only explanation for this error is best summed up by the new Funny Dog Picture on the Cybersalt site. You'll find "Dog Stool" at:

Helping Out
For a while my husband and I had opposite schedules.
He worked during the day, and I worked at night.
One morning I noticed he had left a note to himself on the kitchen counter that read, "STAMPS!"
As a helpful surprise, I bought him some at the post office and put them on the counter before going to work.
The next morning I found the same note.
"STAMPS!" was crossed out.
Underneath it he had written, "ONE MILLION DOLLARS!"

Self Confidence
J. Paul Getty was one of the wealthy men who frequently came to watch Jack Dempsey train. Himself a keen amateur boxer, he asked to be allowed to spar for a round with the champion.
Getty put up quite a creditable performance until he made the mistake of saying, "Hit me a little harder, Jack."
Dempsey knocked him out.

Over the years, some of the most popular pages on the Cybersalt site have featured Funny Cat Pictures. We have to admit that even though cats often look at humans like they owe the feline world something (remember dogs have owners and cats have staff), cats aren't as bad as a lot of the press that they get.
And so, whether you are a cat lover or tolerator, we hope you enjoy these funny cat pictures. And, of course, if you have any funny cat pictures you want to share with the world, feel free to send them to us to post here.

Some say the world can be divided into two types - cat people and dog people. For the cat people of the planet, Cybersalt has the Funny Cat Archive. For the dog people we have this Funny Dog Pictures archive.
It's dedicated to the memory of Maggie - Pastor Tim and family's dog. The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
