A young girl was babysitting for the first time - beginning her shift shortly after supper and as the children were playing in front of the house.

At bedtime she sent the youngsters upstairs to bed and settled down to watch TV.  One child kept creeping down the stairs but the young girl kept sending him back. 

At 9 PM, the doorbell rang, it was the next-door neighbor Mrs.  Brown, asking whether her son was there.

The babysitter brusquely replied, "No."

Just then a little head appeared over the banister and a voice shouted, "I'm here Mom but she won't let me go home."

Not since watching the Flintstones have I seen something like these. I didn't even know it was possible outside of classic cartoons and computer generated movie effects. Now I'm a believer.

Le me just say that, for personal reasons some of you may know, this could never happen to me because physically, I am unable to 10 Pin Bowl. Yes, my life is destined to be a 5 Pin Bowling only existence. That's fine - it's not like I don't still have my incredible good looks.


A truck driver was driving along on the freeway when a sign comes up that reads "Low bridge ahead."

Before he knows it the bridge is right ahead of him and he gets stuck under the bridge. 

Cars are backed up for miles.

Finally, a police car comes up.  The cop gets out of his car and walks around to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, "Got stuck huh?"

The truck driver replies, "No, I was delivering this bridge and ran out of gas."

A woman meant to call a record store, but dialed the wrong number and got a private home instead. "Do you have 'Eyes of Blue' and 'A Love Supreme?'" she asked.

"Well, no," answered the puzzled homeowner. "But I have a wife and eleven children."

"Is that a record?" she inquired, puzzled in her turn.

"I don't think so," replied the man, "but it's as close as I want to get."

I was going to start by saying that mankind has gotten into alot of trouble eating apples - but then my wife reminded me that the Bible does not say that Adam and Eve ate an apple in the Garden of Eden.  All the Bible says is that they ate the "fruit" from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  Ok, it might have been an apple.  I definitely know it wasn't a strawberry because they don't grow on trees.

All this is eventually leading to this - here's a fun game where you move the green apple around to touch the red apples and then you hit the gold apple.  Easy, right?  Just don't bump anything.

The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
