Sunday greetings everyone.
Grandma Cybersalt and I woke up to a tsunami warning yesterday. That sounds far more dramatic than it actually was because even though Cybersalt World Headquarters is only a few thousand feet away from the ocean it is also about 250 feet above sea level. We were totally safe.
There was a lot of news coverage of the volcanic eruption that spawned the warnings. I must say that volcano has my favourite volcano name of all time: Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai. If we ever get another dog, I might just name it that so I can be heard calling it's name throughout the neighbourhood if he or she ever goes missing!
I tried Googling what Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai means but was unsuccessful in finding any answer. My guess is, "Big Lonely One." That would explain why it desperately waved at millions and millions of people yesterday!
Today's video share is more about the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai eruption.

I was sorry to hear that Bob Saget, the host of America's Funniest Home Videos, passed away this past week. It bought back a flood of memories from a time when the availability and delivery of funny home videos meant gathering around a TV at home at the same time each week. The times have certainly changed!
Thank you so much for all of the messages of sympathy, condolence, and encouragement after the passing of my sister, Melissa. Susan and I appreciate all of your spoken and unspoken kindness and care.
I had intended to send a new year mailing out sooner than this, but simply ran out of energy and emotional gas on the weekend. In my Christmas Eve mailing you will remember that I referenced the medical masks that my dear sister, Melissa, sewed for us with "great love." At that time, I did not tell you she was scheduled for brain surgery later this month. Sadly, she suffered a complication and passed away following emergency surgery on December 28th. This is a picture of us together for the last time together - in this life, that is.
Before moving to Vancouver Island, 25 years ago, I was somewhat of a railfan. But with no regular trains around here I've put that interest on the back burner for my own sanity. However, from time to time, I do indulge myself to some train stuff on YouTube. Today's video share is of a fascinating railroad crossing.
