Sunday greetings, everyone.
I am returning to my former church today to lead a memorial service for a lady who passed away back in November 2020. I am finding that the time delay is casting a very different perspective for my feelings as I prepare to speak. I am still sad she is gone, but the absence of the shock of recent loss is putting her long begun eternal life with Jesus in a less complicated light.
One of the painful parts of losing a loved one is that we know they get over their leaving so much faster than we who are left behind. Of course we want them to be happy where they are, but that is hard to fully embrace and rest in when we are so still so overwhelmingly sad. It's a conundrum that results from Jesus wiping away their tears so much quicker than our own. For those of us left in this world, we must suffer waiting for time to diminish some of our grief.
Today's video share will remind you of the time you flew that F/A-18F Super Hornet. You don't remember that? Well, watch this 360 degree video (look around by dragging your mouse on it) and I'm sure it will all come back to you!
