Grandma Cybersalt and I returned from our trip back home on Friday night — late Friday night. We have many happy memories from the trip and enjoyed really great weather for the beginning of fall in Ontario.
Now all we have to do is adjust to the three hour time change now that we are back.

Grandma Cybersalt and I had a great time at my dad's 80th birthday on Thursday with friends and family. It was a full day, which is why the news is so brief today.

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
Grandma Cybersalt and I are back in Ontario for a short visit with our daughter and her family. After that we head over to my parents' place, where we'll be celebrating my dad's 80th birthday this week. It's not just the birthday I'm looking forward to, either. I'll get to spend time with a lot of other people I love and don't get to see as often as I'd like.
Today's video share is a fun bit of nostalgia. It's a look back at how a crew made a 1966 Chevy assemble itself out of thin air for a TV commercial, and you can tell how impressed they were with their methods. To be fair, it was impressive. Of course, these days the whole thing could be done by one person sitting at a computer. My, how the times have changed.

Yesterday I spoke on AI at the potluck lunch for our church's 55+ ministry group. Grandma Cybersalt and I got a nice meal out of it, and we had an enjoyable time with our peers. I do have to admit, though, that it still surprises me to realize I actually belong to that age group now and have for a few years.
