Sky Ear

Details
Published: 15 March 2007

I love the Swiss.  By staying netural in most of the the world's disputes they have been able to work a lot for peace.  This neutrality has also given them a lot of time to invent and develop really great stuff.  Swiss chocolate, Swiss watches, Swiss army knives, soldiers on bicycles, and the Alps are just a few of the wonderful addtions to the world the Swiss have brought us.

However, I fear some of the Swiss may have too much time on their hands.  To prove my point I give you "Sky Ear".   The premise - attach some cell phones to some helium balloons and let people call them so they can listen to the sky.  Oh yeah, I forgot that you also put LED lights on the phones.

I'll admit the images of this ear are pretty, but if I want to listen to the sky all I have to do is call anyone on my cell phone while I am at home.  The cell service is so bad here I mostly get air anyway.

And please don't get me wrong - I'm not looking down on the Swiss.  It just seems to me that "Sky Ear" shows that some of them have been neutral so long that they are beginning to coast.

Line Unfold

Published: 14 March 2007

It is with the greatest of apologies that I present this game to you. I only played it for a few levels before my mind was twisted into more of a tangle than these overlapping lines.

But then again, it may just be me because I have yet to master folding shirts . Not everyone finds puzzles puzzling. In fact some people are so good at figuring out puzzles that it puzzles them why some people can figure out puzzles. Go figure!

All you have to do is move the dots until none of the lines are crossing over each other. That sounds easy enough doesn't it?

Cork Trick

Details
Published: 13 March 2007

Have you ever seen a situation that could be best described as an accident waiting to happen?  Well, here's a solution waiting for an accident to happen.  Just how does one remove a cork that is inside a bottle?  Here's how.

But first, let me ask this - am I missing something? Admittedly, I'm not a big drinker.  Sure, first thing in the morning I have to have a drink of water right away, but that's the end of it.  OK, you've got me.  When I want to get really wild I put a bit of Sprite or 7-up in my apple juice!

But people!  Is the cork falling to the bottom of a bottle the great unknown plague of humanity or is this just a ploy to trick people into buying more plastic bags?

Oh yeah, I also drink milk and tea - but I don't put milk in my tea.  What a rebel I am!

Motorized Desk Chair

I don't know what the policy in your workplace is regarding the modification of office equipment, but I bet that this guy would violate it.

I don't mean to be unkind, because I'm sure he's fun to work with (unless you are in the cubicle right next to him), but you would probably have to lock up all staplers, keyboards, pencil sharpeners and anything else that moves or else risk finding it as part of a coffee machine or photcopier modification.

Bowling Blooper

Details
Published: 09 March 2007

Not since watching the Flintstones have I seen something like these. I didn't even know it was possible outside of classic cartoons and computer generated movie effects. Now I'm a believer.

Le me just say that, for personal reasons some of you may know, this could never happen to me because physically, I am unable to 10 Pin Bowl. Yes, my life is destined to be a 5 Pin Bowling only existence. That's fine - it's not like I don't still have my incredible good looks.
