Spit Art

Details
Published: 25 April 2007

I consider myself to be a fairly creative person.  My problem is that I often feel frustrated trying to express my creativity.  Sure, I'm very comfortable with humor and comedy, but when it comes to other art forms like painting, for instance, I'm stuck.

Some might suggest that I get painting lessons and see what happens once I try to put oil to canvas or mix water colors on a pallet, but I'm just not interested in spending time on things that end up so different from what I am trying to do. "Why Tim, look at the beautiful dog you painted!"  "Um, it's a wave crashing on a rock."  "Oh never mind, you are still a beautiful person on the inside."

I think if I did try to paint, my mom would still be kind and pretend to like it.  Though to pretty much everyone else my art wouldn't be worth spit.  Unlike the guy in this video who's work is worth spit.

Virus Spread

Details
Published: 17 April 2007

For years they've been telling us to not spread viruses.  Wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, and whatever you do, don't let the dog lick your face.

I've figured out the reason for this zealousness - spreading viruses can be alot of fun!  Take this game for example.  It's probably not supported by the Center for Disease Control, and I'm sure it's not supported by the center for fun control, but it earns the Cybersalt stamp of approval.

Fish Feeder

Details
Published: 11 April 2007

Is it a fish pond or a duck pond?  Either way, these are the perfect pets for your kids - that way you don't have to worry about ending up feeding them when they lose interest.  Ok, you have to feed the duck, but how hard can that be as long as you aren't coy?

Scuba Cat

Call me a pessimist, but I think a scuba diving cat only has one idea - finally conquering your salt water aquarium and eating your tropical fish.

Holding Hands

Details
Published: 11 April 2007

I know that a lot of you are against keeping animals in zoos, but how else can animals safely observe humans? Think about it.  Animals in the wild would never get the chance to view some of our stranger human characteristics unless we built them a home at the zoo so we can parade past them for their entertainment (at our own expense too!)

Otters are an excellent example of this. Usually otters are floating around in remote coastal areas with very little human contact (except for the few they see in those floating machines with strings hanging off them). But put them in a zoo and they can see really cool human behavior - like the sounds humans make when they see otters holding hands.
