Wow - I just spotted so many grammatical mistakes in last week's news! I am behind on my emails so I don't even know whom to thank for pointing them out!
When I first saw today's video share, I asked Grandma Cybersalt if she had ever heard of an 18 string harp guitar. When she replied that she had not, I knew we were probably both in for a treat - and I was right!

We're into the shortest days and darkest and rainiest nights of the year here at Cybersalt World Headquarters. But in 11 days we will have the "shortest" day and from there we can start our slow rush back to the longest day on June 21. So hang in there all you northern hemispherers!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
Cybersalt World Headquarters is almost fully decorated for Christmas, including 3 LED bulbs in our ceiling fan. I have each bulb rotating through different colours at a different rate. I think it lends itself to a very fun and warm holiday atmosphere. Grandma Cybersalt is not a fan of these changing lights, but she is a fan of me so I am enjoying them (and that!)
Early in our shared Christmas life, I discovered that Susan preferred a Christmas tree without tinsel (Somehow that difference never came up during our premarital counselling.) Tinsel on the tree was something that was present in copious amounts on my family's Christmas tree. We even carefully saved it each year becaue the crinklier it was the more it relfected the lights around it. But I am a fan of Susan, so I gave up tinsel a long time ago. Honestly, my hands don't even shake anymore when I see a box of tinsel for sale!
Today's video share amazes me because of the incredible ice conditions it shows and because people walk 2 hours (gaining 1,500 feet of elevation) to get to this lake to skate on it. Honestly, they exercise so they can exercise!

Grandma Cybersalt and I enjoyed a special treat last night - and we didn't even have to leave the sidewalk in front of Cybersalt World Headquarters!
For many years a lighted truck parade has wound its way through Victoria on the first Saturday evening of December. This year they changed the ending point of the parade to a new commercial area just down the hill from us. That gave us the luxury of bundling up and walking to the end of our driveway with hot chocolates in hand, watching the parade, and then being back home in front of the fireplace a minute after it was all over. Luxury!
Today's video share is a blast from the past. I had forgotten about it until it showed up to day as a commercial before a video I was watching. It still amazes me that this was done in real life - not by computer generation.

With less than one month to go until Christmas day Grandma Cybersalt and I have yet to unpack any of our decorations. But I think today is the day when we will get much of it done because Susan is under the weather, so a slow afternoon of decking the halls is in order.

Today's video share shows the making of a huge piece of pottery that takes 3 men to sculpt. I wish a could be there to see when it is delivered from the factory; I am sure it would be the biggest bowl movement I have ever seen!

Today marks the beginning of repeating a science experiment to see if I can keep myself alive for a week while Grandma Cybersalt is away at 2 conferences. Fortunately, Costco has already killed and cooked a chicken for me so I should make it until at least Tuesday!
