worlds fastest bikeToday, Grandma Cybersalt is at her conference and I am spending time with my parents. Mom, who is in the early stages of some type of dementia, said she was holding on to see me this visit. I suggested she might want to hold on and see me on my next visit, but she said she didn't think so. I always try to make the most of my visits, so if this is the last one I will be grateful for it.

Hope's songGrandma Cybersalt and I are having a good trip. Today we took (and watched) our 11 year old grandson to his football practice and game and then we went to a huge farmer's market with all kinds of products from the large, local Mennonite community. Highlights of the market were my back bacon burger, freshly made hickory smoked bacon potato chips, and Susan's freshly made apple fritters. We bought too much of everything, but I am sure we'll get help from our daughter and her family!

The Ancient Tradition of Chinas Feidu Wax Dyeing ProcessI don't know if you have ever noticed that the full width images in the Cybersalt Digest are a little off center (by 10 pixels.) I recently tried to fix that - and thought that I had - but I see the problem is back. I guess it's only right since I am off center from time to time!

sole survivorWith 7 official days left in the summer of '24, the weather at Cybersalt Headquarters is definitely getting ready to switch to autumn. Grandma Cybersalt and I are approaching the age were we really want to avoid as many tumbles as possible, but when it comes to the seasons of the year we hope to experience many more falls!

cruise ship pool tableLast evening, I spotted a woman from my church at the casino and told her I was going to tell our pastor. I suppose she could also tell him she spotted me there too but it's all good; we were both there for a Chamber of Commerce gathering. Still, I realize that to even admit I was there is taking a risk with some people, but I guess I will just have to let the chips land where they do! And to be clear, attending was the only gamble I took the whole evening!

You know you are getting older when you can actually remember when throwback technology was actually new and exciting!
