Sunday greetings, everyone - and happy Father's Day to those who are celebrating!

There was no mailing last Chicken Thursday as Grandma Cybersalt and I were spending the last night of trip back east to visit family. My mom turned 83 the day before. She was recently diagnosed with dementia, and so we were not quite sure what our time together would be like, but we left everything in God's hands and ended up having a wonderful visit with her and my dad. Dad, who is going to be 76 is taking good care of mom in spite of his own health issues.

It was sad to say goodbye and fly back to the other side of the country from them, but as Y. Knott said, "Though sad, we can always be thankful when good things come to end because they were good things! What is received with a happy heart should be remembered with a grateful one."

Grandma Cybersalt and I are having a very nice visit with our eldest daughter and her family. Today we are all heading up for the second half of trip to spend some time with my mom and dad. We are looking forward to a good time.

There is also a new article by Rev. Suneel Barkat on the Cybersalt Site today. You will find a link to it below. Please do remember to pray for encouragement for him as the fundraising to bring him to Canada as a church planter is a bit staled with only $5,500 to go!

Speaking of time, I bet the guy in today's video share has a clock to help us countdown until we leave. He is pretty time obsessed himself!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

Well, it looks like even though I have been sending out the Digest the last couple of weeks, but it has not been going out because I accidentally turned off the CRON job which does the actual sending from the system. The good news is that even though Grandma Cybersalt and I are away on our third trip in as many months, we can send the ones I sent that did not send while we are away instead of not sending the Digest!

This picture is of Grandma Cybersalt and me after a day of galivanting around in Banff (our previous to current trip.) If I have done it correctly, the picture should enlarge if clicked on it.

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

The news today is that Grandma Cybersalt and I are away at a conference in beautiful Banff, Alberta. This is related to the work that we (mostly Susan) do helping churches sponsor refugees to come to Canada and restart their lives.

Thanks to everyone who noticed that the quote was messed up in the most recent Digest. We're still not sure what happened there, but it is now fixed and the quote is accurate today.

Today's video share is one of the funniest I have watched in a while - maybe due partly to the painful truth it demonstrates about what we do to others when we don't pay people equally. I think you will laugh out loud at "Two Monkeys Were Paid Unequally."
