Sunday greetings, everyone!

taken 100 years agoThank you for praying for Pastor Suneel and family. They have found a house to rent and will be moving in a week's time.

There is a new devotional from Rev. Suneel Barkat on the Cybersalt site today. You will find the beginning of it down below in today's mailing.

Today's video share is a restful, almost sleepy, look back at some of the earliest colour photos ever taken.

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

superglue and cottonAfter a longer than usual summer, we got some early snow at Cybersalt World Headquarters this week. It's all melted now, making it the best kind of snow!

Rev. Suneel Barkat and his wife would appreciate prayer as they try to find a new house in the part of Pakistan they are moving back to after a few years away doing nursing training. With the devastating floods of the summer, places to rent are scarce and life even harder for them in that country.

Today's video share is not a miracle (as it says in the title) but I am looking forward to trying this trick with superglue and cotton!

Sunday greetings, everyone!

guiness world record longest passenger trainAfter an exceptionally nice October, the regular November weather has arrived at Cybersalt World Headquarters. Storms, rain, and power outages are on the seasonal menu once again. I must say I am not bothered by the autumnal beat this year. I am excited for some changes that are happening in my life and my business and so the change in weather is a lovely frame for a new picture. I hope the same is true for you!

There is a new devotional from Rev. Suneel Barkat on the Cybersalt site today. You will find the beginning of it down below in today's mailing.

Today's video share is about a World Record I would have liked to be in on - or at lease seen first hand: "The Guiness World Record Longest Passenger Train!"

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

heart of a discipleGrandma Cybersalt and I are back from our trip which was very enjoyable in the easiest parts and blessed in the challenging parts. For one of the Sundays we were away I was invited to preach at Calvary Church, Toronto. Their theme this fall has been "The Heart of a Disciple" and I was asked to speak about perseverance - which I did in relation to persecution.

One of my points in that message was "A persevering Christian knows persecution is a topic used by politicians to woo their vote." I think that's really important for followers of Jesus in the Western world to be aware of, which you can hear more about in today's video share.

However, there is an old Turkish proverb that I read days after I preached that I wished I had known in order to include: "The forest was shrinking but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them."

I know that in the spirit of the current political the age, voters on both sides of politics will think that proverb applies to the "other side" but generations of politicians of all stripes have promised Christians they will help bring about God's ways in their country, and when you look around they have all failed because the life God calls us to comes about through faith and spiritual renewal - not by law.
