"As a symbol of our gratitude, we have created this special gold watch to serve as a reminder of your many years with the company. It needs a lot of winding up, is always a little late, and every day at quarter to five, it stops working."
Not since Forest Gump went to China to play ping pong has the world seen anything like this. Ok, Forest Gump did not go to China, but these tricks are pretty cool. I realize that there must have been many, many out-takes before this whole collection was put together, but let's give the guys credit for sticking with it.
From the looks of it, they are high school students and we'll just give them the benefit of the doubt that they had all their homework done. Yeah, right.
Recently, our 18-year-old daughter started hunting for her first real job. She spent an afternoon filling out applications, leaving them on the kitchen table to finish later. As I walked by, a section of the application on top jumped out at me. Under "Previous Employment" she wrote, "Baby sitting."
In answer to "Reason for Leaving" she wrote, "Parents came home."
Some of the funniest things that have happened to me as a pastor have been unexpected things that happened in front of crowds. For instance, I remember a Christmas Eve service where one of our readers suddenly announced that he was going to chant his reading instead and then proceeded to do so very poorly. There I was sitting on the platform facing everyone, trying to look blessed.
And then there was the time that the water heater for the baptismal tank had broken - leaving the water incredibly cold. It was hard enough to keep a saintly face on when I walked down into the chill, but what do you do when the person entering to be baptized puts a toe in and mutters "Holy $@^*, that's cold!"
Sometimes in life you just have to roll with the punches and flow with the moment. Like this taxi driver who somehow ended up being mistaken for an expert in something else.
Over the years, some of the most popular pages on the Cybersalt site have featured Funny Cat Pictures. We have to admit that even though cats often look at humans like they owe the feline world something (remember dogs have owners and cats have staff), cats aren't as bad as a lot of the press that they get.
And so, whether you are a cat lover or tolerator, we hope you enjoy these funny cat pictures. And, of course, if you have any funny cat pictures you want to share with the world, feel free to send them to us to post here.
Some say the world can be divided into two types - cat people and dog people. For the cat people of the planet, Cybersalt has the Funny Cat Archive. For the dog people we have this Funny Dog Pictures archive.
It's dedicated to the memory of Maggie - Pastor Tim and family's dog. The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
Here are some clean, theologically incorrect jokes. Most of them have been featured in the PearlyGates section of the free Cybersalt Digest Newsletter - which you can subscribe to by clicking here.
When Pastor Tim finds (or puts) fun things on the net, he posts them here. If you would like to be updated when new things are added, just subscribe to the Cybersalt Digest Newsletter. Enjoy!
