Fellow employees at the international company where I work know I'm a notary public and have me certify personal documents.
One day, two Swedish men asked me to witness signatures on an automobile title.
"I'm selling my car to this man," one of them explained. "We came here because we heard you were notorious."
Jack: "Hey, Bill! Check out this cute note Aunt Pat put in my present! "
Bill: (Glancing at note) "I can't read this; I'm presbyopic. "
Jack: "Come to my church! They let us read anything!"
There was a man who entered a local paper's pun contest. He sent in ten different puns, in the hope that at least one of the puns would win.
Unfortunately, no pun in ten did.
A sister from a local convent became a Certified Public accountant to help small shop owners manage their finances better.
Her title: "Nun of Your Business."
Donations to the order were down and the convent did not have the funds to continue in their usual manner. Rather than shutting down, Mother Superior ordered an austerity program requiring recycling of old clothing. As the gowns had faded over the years, they were sent to the manufacturer to restore them to their original black.
Unfortunately when the dresses were returned, while improved, they were still a dark grey, which just goes to prove old habits dye hard.

It's dedicated to the memory of Maggie - Pastor Tim and family's dog. The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
