I want to give a shout out to subscriber John P. today. I had a chance to connect with John over the phone a few days ago and it was really nice getting to know him a bit. John has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and I know he would appreciate your prayers for him and his wife at this time.

One of the special things I learned about John is that he has a passion for comics (the book type and not the stand-up type.) That reminded me of one of my favorite PearlyGates list jokes. So to give John a virtual "tip of the hat today" I am rerunning it. Remember, the PearlyGates list features clean, theologically incorrect jokes that aren't necessarily everyone's cup of tea. I know I have been sharing videos on Sundays, but today I thought I share the surprise birthday video my sister and I made for my mom's 80th birthday last Saturday.

I think there are some entertaining parts to it - including an appearance by Canada's Prime Minister.

Sunday greetings everyone!

Yesterday was my mom's 80th birthday. She was (and is) a great mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. I don't know if I have ever mentioned this or shared it here before, but she and my aunt Linda (her sister) once appeared on the old television show "What's My Line?" They were both amongst the first police women on the force in Toronto.

Today's shared video is the episode she appeared in back in 1963. If you want to skip to their part, it begins at 7 minutes, 54 seconds into the video
