Anxious to include as many minorities, religions and disabilities as possible, the human resources department of the University of Alberta has put up a Braille poster outside its main office. The poster has been placed inside a display case with a glass front.
This is brought to you by the same geniuses who put Braille instructions on the drive up window at the bank.
I have to admit I have no idea what this ceremony is for, who these people are, and what this is all about. However, I'm not one to let a little bit of mystery stand in the way of enjoying some harmless entertainment. It's dedicated to the memory of Maggie - Pastor Tim and family's dog. The SPCA rescued Maggie from Manitoba's Red River flood in 1996 and brought her to British Columbia where she had two short term owners before becoming a part of the Davis household where she preferred adults over kids, picked and ate fruit from trees in the backyard, and very rarely went into water at the beach.
