The only reason this is "fun" is because everybody survived the ditching of US Airways Flight 1549 (Cactus 1549) and we all got a new hero - Pilot Chesley Sullenberger.  You have probably already heard an edited recording of the communications between the tower and that plane, but the actual, unedited, real-time recording gives a whole new perspective.  Give this 20 minute long recording a listen and hear for yourself.  Keep in mind that there are periods of complete silence when nobody is speaking, so if it sounds like nothing is playing, your computer is not broken - it's bearing testament to the time frame of what happened that day.

And, while you are listening you may like to watch out this awesome security camera footage showing the first 8 minutes after the A320 splashed down in the Hudson.  Jump forward to the 1:55 mark and you'll be just before the crash.

At our local speedway (Western Speedway in Victoria, British Columbia) I am known as the Pastor of Disaster.  I've raced in a number of classes since I first hit the track mid-season in 1999. However, I didn't race at all in 2008.  In fact I was only at the race track once last year on their "Eve of Destruction" where my son and I sat in the stands and enjoyed an evening of vehicles getting smashed.

The highlight of the evening had to be Gary Williams jumping a school bus over some cars. Enjoy!

Regardless of your political stripe, you have to admit that Barak Obama's inauguration was a pretty impressive event. And to go along with the event, some pretty impressive tech stuff happened.  One was the taking of one of the highest resolution pictures ever.  So let's have some fun.

I don't know what the funniest thing about this video is - the material itself or that it's so nonsensical that it's hard to see if this is an interview with a real politician or not.
