Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

We flooded a forestThis week I received an email from our denomination's head office letting me know I am no longer licensed to perform weddings. I knew this was coming because it's their policy for any pastors who are no longer pastoring a local church. However, I am still allowed to perform at weddings so if you know of someone who is getting married and would like to have my interpretive dance about Samson's relationship with Delilah at their reception, please have them contact me!

Today's video share is a really interesting look at some work that is being done to restore some wetlands along part of the Danube river.

Breakfast Call

light bulbsWhen my son was in the ninth grade, we reluctantly agreed to let him move into the basement. Then I realized how convenient it was to get him to the breakfast table. Before, I used to stand at the bottom of the staircase and scream his name. Now all I had to do was flick the basement light off and on, and he was here.

One morning I flicked the switch, and nothing happened. I did it several more times.

"I'm on my way," my son called up. "You didn't have to yell."

Outlook

money bagTwo actors who haven't seen each other in several weeks run into each other on the street.

1st actor: Haven't seen you in a while. How's everything going?

2nd actor: Pretty good. Two weeks ago I got a call from a lawyer in Florida. It seems I had an aunt that I never knew about that died and left me $2,000,000.

#1: That's great!

#2: Yeah. And then last week I hit the lottery and won $7,000,000.

#1: Wow, that's wonderful!

#2: Yeah, but this week, nothing!
