Looking out over Lake Ontario past a light on a fence in the foreground. To accept with grace the things I cannot change,
people, circumstances, and the choices others make.
To accept with courage the things I can make right,
by the power that is available through God’s Spirit,… my heart, my attitude, and my reactions.

I accept the Gospel Message
Jesus, though perfect, came to die for me.
I accept His love, and by faith, I am His apprentice.
So, I sit and lean in and learn from Him,
… knowing that I am simply a work in progress.

I accept that I need to build my life on a firm foundation,
the solid rock of His precious Holy Word.
I accept the truths of Jesus’ teachings,
to love with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength,
… to go into all the world, to tell, to make disciples.

I accept that I must become more like Him.
Yet, He accepts me just as I am, at this moment.
I accept that all my regrets are washed in His blood,
never to be held against me, because of His grace,
… amazing grace, which is never-ending.

I accept that I serve a just and Holy God,
who created me for a unique purpose.
I accept that Jesus is my Beloved and I am His.
I know that His love is enough, and I am blessed,
… and He will make everything beautiful in His time.

I accept with thanksgiving this peace that engulfs me,
knowing that He chose me, loves me, saves, and keeps me.
These truths overwhelm my heart with gratitude and joy
.May that joy spill over and, by God’s grace, touch another life,
… as I accept others as they are because God has accepted me!
