Almost two thousand years ago God sent the Paschal Lamb into the world, His own Son, and appointed that through the shedding of the blood of this Lamb the sins of the world would be "taken away." God will now "pass over" us with His judgment on sin if we in faith accept cleansing from sin by the blood of the Lamb.
 
Christian friends, Let us remember this well, nothing can save us but the blood of Jesus Christ. Let us glory in the cross.
 
      Judgment is coming, all will be there,
      Each one receiving justly his due;
      Hide in the saving, sin-cleansing blood,
      And "I will pass, will pass over you."
