"I delight to do Thy will, O My God."

These words, expressing profound joy in the service of God and mankind, came from the lips of our blessed LORD and Redeemer. To do the Father's will was His greatest delight and to accomplish His Father's will until He could say: "It is finished." It is possible by God's grace and power to catch something of that supreme happiness which animated our loving LORD in the doing of His Father's will.

In ordinary affairs of life, the exercise of self-determination may be commendable. But in relationship to God, our way is never right. Our self-will must be subordinate to His will, as our Savior submissively prayed in Gethsemane's Garden 'Not My will, but Yours, be done." Luke 22:42  Trustful obedience to God's way brings blessing both now and forever.
 
Christian friends, whenever you feel like saying, "I want to do it my way," remember that Jesus did it His Father's way.
 
      Have Thine own way, LORD.   Have Thine own way.
      Thou art the Potter, I am the clay;
      Mold me and make me after Thy will,
      While I am waiting, yielded and still.
