Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
Grandma Cybersalt pointed out that my "the day after Christmas is one month away" observation (last Sunday) was a bit eager (not her words, lol.) I guess I am looking forward to Christmas even more than I am already excited about. I hope my calendar enthusiasm did not throw any of you too far off in your plans!

Two Plus Two
A mathematician, a statistician and an accountant apply for the same job.
The interviewer calls in the mathematician and asks "What do two plus two equal?"
The mathematician replies "Four."
The interviewer asks "Four, exactly?"
The mathematician looks at the interviewer incredulously and says "Yes, four, exactly."
Then the interviewer calls in the statistician and asks the same question "What do two plus two equal?"
The statistician says "On average, four - give or take ten percent, but on average, four."
Then the interviewer calls in the accountant and poses the same question "What do two plus two equal?"
The accountant gets up, locks the door, closes the shade, sits down next to the interviewer and says "What do you want it to equal?"

Beach Injury
I was walking barefoot on the beach and stepped on a rusty piece from an old video game. Now I have to get a Tetris shot.

Honesty in Business
There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to the baker.
One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting a pound. He found that he was not. This angered him and he took the farmer to court.
The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure. The farmer replied, "Your Honor, I am primitive. I don't have a proper measure, but I do have a scale."
The judge asked, "Then how do you weigh the butter?"
The farmer replied "Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker."

The God Who Sees Me
I’ve faced much loss, and grief often lingers. However, it does not define me, and by God’s grace and through His strength, I choose to be better, not bitter.
I sometimes stumble, especially when dealing with health issues, the passing of loved ones, and the tough decision involved in my recent choice to retire. However, what I’ve discovered is that we all face crossroads in our lives. Our futures are shaped by the choices we make at those crossroads. We can either dwell on our pain or we can choose to fix our eyes on Jesus, who redeemed all our pain on the cross.
God always provides a way, and what seems so very hard often works out for our good, in accordance with His perfect plan.
Despite the heartaches, my story is one of redemption, and I live with the assurance that I love and serve a God who sees.
