Cybersalt News

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

Royal Bay FogI went for a nice walk with Grandma Cybersalt yesterday, just as a fog was rolling in off the Salish Sea. I took this picture later on as it was rolling out at sunset. After a very lovely summer with a ton of nice days that were carbon copies of each other, it's nice to have some variety. Even the return of shorter days is a nice change.

Today's video share is from the old "Candid Camera" show. I enjoy these clips not only for their humour, but also because I remember as a kid how much my grandfather enjoyed that show.

Thanks Mom

watergunsWhen my three-year-old son opened the birthday gift from his grandmother, he discovered a water pistol.  He squealed with delight and headed for the nearest sink.  I was not so pleased.

I turned to Mom and said, "I'm surprised at you.  Don't you remember how we used to drive you crazy with water guns?"

Mom smiled and then replied....."Oh, I remember...."

Broom Pun

broomsTwo brooms were hanging in the closet and after a while they got to know each other so well, they decided to get married.

One broom was, of course, the bride broom and the other the groom broom. The bride broom looked very beautiful in her white dress. The groom broom was handsome and suave in his tuxedo. The wedding was lovely.

After the wedding at the wedding dinner, the bride broom leaned over and said to the groom broom, "I think I am going to have a little whisk broom!!!"

"IMPOSSIBLE!!" said the groom broom. "We haven't even swept together!"

Dog's Life Complaint

woman angry3A woman told a marriage counselor that her husband's complaint that he leads a dog's life is probably well founded.

"He comes in the house with muddy feet," she said, "tracks across my clean floors, barks at nothing, growls at his food and makes himself comfortable on my best furniture."

What’s the Harm with a Little Treat?

apple fritterThe last month has been crazy for me and The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage. Every month has its crazy element, but this past month beats them all.

First, my main computer crashed, and I lost a lot of stuff.

Second, we had a hurricane that came through; fortunately, it was only thunder, rain and loss of electricity.

Third, I came down with what the doctor said was acute bronchitis. I told him I did not think any of this bronchitis was cute.

Fourth, my next book manuscript is due this month.
