Sunday greetings and welcome to September!

I had the wrong privacy setting on the ink to the video of me roller skating so some of you who tried to watch it were not able to. I can't imagine not being able to see that video caused any long term regret for anybody, but just in case - you can watch it by clicking here.

Our neighbor used the word hypochondriac to describe the phase her teen-age daughter was going though.

One day the girl was convinced that the pain on her left side was appendicitis.

Her mother explained that the appendix is on the right.

"So that's why it hurts to much," her daughter said. "My appendix is on the wrong side."

Our child has a great deal of willpower - and even more won't power.

Sunday after church a mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about.

The daughter answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your blanket."

Needless to say, the mom was perplexed.

Later in the day, the pastor stopped by for tea and the mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about.

He said, "Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming."

I'm a driving examiner for the state of Indiana, and while I was giving a road test to a young man, he went through a red light without stopping. I told him that he had automatically failed the test.

We met up with his mother back at the office, and I explained what had happened.

At first she was speechless. Then she asked incredulously, "He ran a red light?"

"Yes," I replied.

"Well," persisted the mom, "how red was the light?"

That's why it's so great to be married to someone like The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage. There is no problem she cannot fix, and I have many examples to prove it.
