Cybersalt News
Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
With the summer solstice occurring yesterday, today will be shorter (daylight-wise) than yesterday. Grandma Cybersalt mentioned to me that she does not look forward to the longest day of the year like she does the shortest. I agree and understand where she is coming from, but I am certainly am not looking forward to it right now! I am just going to keep enjoying the long days until sometime in August when I first notice the days are getting shorter. I will re-evaluate after that.
The subject of today's video share sounds like the name of villain from a James bond Movie. "Octobase" is the largest of basses - and this video easily forms the basis of proof for that!

Boris, Bill, & Bill
A throw-back joke to the late '90s when everyone was concerned about the year 2000 and what might happen to all the computers as one century ended and a new one began.
Boris Yeltsin, Bill Clinton and Bill Gates were invited to have dinner with God.
During dinner He told them:
"I need three important people to send my message out to all people - Tomorrow I will destroy the earth"
Yeltsin immediately called together his cabinet and told them:
"I have two very bad news items for you:
1. God really exists, and
2. Tomorrow He will destroy the earth."
Clinton called an Emergency meeting of the Senate and Congress and told them:
"I have good news and bad news:
1. The good news is: God really does exist.
2. The bad news is: tomorrow He's destroying the earth."
Bill Gates went back to Microsoft and happily announced:
"I have two fantastic announcements.
1. I am one of three most important people on earth.
2. The Year 2000 problem is solved."

Quote #2187
You cannot see your reflection in boiling water. Similarly, you cannot see the truth in a state of anger. When the water calms, clarity comes.

Friendship
You gave me words of kindness
tied with a ribbon of gold,
hearing them was important
to heal my heart and soul.
Your gift of words made a difference
when I was down and blue,
questioning why I bother,
doing what I do.
Life can be a challenge
sometimes it seems unfair,
but when I was tired and struggling
it helped that you were there.
What can I give you in return
your friendship is so dear,
please know if you ever need me
I will always be here.
Kind words and time are needed
by people everywhere,
when wrapped with a smile or a hug
they're a gift that says I CARE!

Rev. James Snyder, God's Penman, writes . . . .
The Great Divide between Brain and Tongue
As my Uncle Fred used to say, "One of the great benefits of getting old is that you know everything."
If you had ever met Uncle Fred, you would easily conclude that he certainly wasn’t getting old.
Of course, there are things I have learned during my aging career that has been of great use to me. If I weren’t as old as I am, I wouldn’t know all I know now.
