Cybersalt News

Oh look, Chicken Thursday - and welcome to summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Hang in there, Southerners, the sun is on its way bac!

Earthquake ContestThanks to Cybersaltine, D McCormick, who sent along this fun little chicken video which fits our Thursday theme very well! (Click here to watch)

Grandma Cybersalt and I are very much progressing in our recovery. Today I think I was as equally tired from staying up late catching up on work last night as I was from recovering from COVID! Why, in no time I'll be back to my normal tired, lol - though I am working on fixing that too!

Today's video share is of a fun competition to built structures that are earthquake resistant. Here's hoping the building you live in was not designed by most of these students!

Think of a Number

man thinkingThink of a number.

Multiply it by 3.

Now add 5.

Take away the number you first thought of.

Now add 7.

Subtract 2.

Add back the number you first thought of.

Now, close your eyes.

Dark, isn't it?

Romance

writingOne day a young man was writing a letter to his girl friend who lived just a few miles away in a nearby town. Among other things, he was telling her how much he loved her and how wonderful he thought she was.

The more he wrote, the more poetic he became. Finally, he said that in order to be with her he would suffer the greatest difficulties, he would face the greatest dangers that anyone could imagine. In fact, to spend only one minute with her, he would climb the highest mountain in the world. He would swim across the widest river. He would enter the deepest forest and with his bare hands fight against the fiercest animals.

He finished the letter, signed his name, and then suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to mention something quite important. So he added:

P.S. I will be over to see you Wednesday night as long as it doesn't rain.
