Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

I just noticed that last week I only said, "Oh look, Thursday!" Oops! I must have been tired. Speaking of tired, be sure to get a good sleep tonight - tomorrow we all start a 31 day March.

Did you hear about the doctor who wrote out a prescription in the usual doctor's fashion?

The patient used it for two years as a railroad pass.

Twice it got him into Radio City Music Hall, and once into Yankee Stadium.

It came in handy as a letter from his employer to the cashier to increase his salary.

And to top it off, his daughter played it on the piano and won a scholarship to the Curtis Music Conservatory.

Introducing Manners

New to town, I was eager to meet people and make friends. So one day I struck up a conversation with the only other woman in the gym.

Pointing to two men playing racquetball in a nearby court, I said to her, "There's my husband." Then I added, "The thin one, not the fat one."

After a slightly uncomfortable silence, she replied,

"And that's my husband ... the fat one."
