Become As A Little Child

Details
Written by: Barbara Sanders
Published: 29 May 2004

Watching my grandchildren on the playground, I began to register the actions of the children playing. There were little ones ranging from age one to about age ten. They all seemed to be having a great time, the little ones following after the older ones, imitating them.

The Hope, The Blessing And The Power

Luke 24:44-53
Ephesians 1:15-23

When we come back from visiting interesting places, most of us bring  gifts and souvenirs which we then give to family and friends. I know because whenever we go away, it seems we spend half our time in gift shops looking for the exactly right gift. We always have a list of people to buy for and I can tell you what a relief it is to finally check off the last name. Then I relax and enjoy the visit. But sometimes I really like what we bought for my brother-in-law and I secretly start looking for something else for him so I can keep his gift. But Jesus gave us gifts when he left bodily.

Down the Path to the Well--a thought to remember along the way.

Brains...we've all got them, believe it or not--and scientists allege that we use but 10 percent of their capacity! Now I am not a mathemetician, but if I am ACTIVELY using 10 percent of my brain, I believe that leaves 90 percent to curl into its four corners--to rot or, as I would suggest, to revolve--in fright, faith, failure or fun.

A Hurting Word...

Memorial Day USA--backyard picnics, Main Street parades, and back to work the next day! A passing reprieve in the busy schedule of life--the significance of the day almost outdone by the smell of overdone, barbequed steak on the grill and the sun-splashing fun in the pool! We give our distinguished men of sacrifice and honor a passing glance, and we're back to life as usual.

Behold the buzzing of the bee

As it flits from bough to bud

Its entire being testifies

To the wonder of God's love.

Behold the singing of the lark

As it soars up in the sky

It joyfully reminds us all

That our Savior is ever nigh.
