A photo of autumn lakeside land displaying foliage of green, gold and red.Around every bend, glance upwards and see
Magnificent artwork on each single tree
There’s orange, flaming amber and deep rusty gold
Some colours are muted, and others are bold

The dawn as it breaks with some frost on the greens
With breezes so fresh and some ice in the streams
All nature prepares for the harsh winter storms
When snowflakes and bleakness are more of the norm

And though I do long for this beauty to stay
With seasons like spring or these bright autumn days
There does come a sense in the dark winter hush
To slow down the pace and to still the mad rush

So, thank God for seasons with wonderful views
Made new every morning as fresh as the dew
And take in the changes that each season brings
