"If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O LORD who shall stand?" Psalm 130:3      

The Pharisees objected to Jesus' dealing with sinners. At times they grumbled among themselves about it, and at times they complained openly. 'How is it that He eats and drinks with publicans and sinners?" But Jesus went on His way undisturbed, admonishing the women taken in adultery, "Go and sin no more"; revealing Himself to the sinful woman at the well of Sychar as the promised Messiah; and helping sinners wherever He went. "The Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."      

What a blessing it is that Jesus loves sinners. If it were not so, it would be getter for us if we had never been born, 'for all have sinned and come short of the glory of  God" The same God who sees us and who knows every sin in us has also said: "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.      

Christian friends, There is forgiveness with Thee, full and free forgiveness, and so we sinners can lift our faces high. We are secure in the arms of a forgiving  God, who sent His own Son into death that we might be forgiven.  

How blest is he who trespass Has freely been forgiven, Whose sin is wholly covered Before the sight of heaven.  

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Sin invites judgment; confession ensures forgiveness.
