If you watch commercials you might notice they usually emphasize trouble, like, a hacking cough, insomnia or a backache. Then they have a magic gimmick or gadget to use as a cure-all for all these problems. But actually things are not that simple in life. Life has its trials and tears, its troubles and tribulations.
 
St. Paul tells us in today's Bible reading that . . .

St. Paul tells us in today's Bible reading that through faith in Jesus Christ, who loves us, we are more than conquerors. There is no magic solution that will take away our personal problems. But Christ gives us the power to conquer our fears. Christ took our place on the cross. He died for our sins. He rose from the dead and conquered sin and death for us.
 
Christian friends, because of Christ and His unfailing love for us, we are winners.
 
     Although this life will bring us pain,
     Our faith in Christ can help us see
     That if we will obey His Word
     He'll give us joy and victory.
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY- Think less of the power of things over you and more of the of Christ in you.
