"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. Matthew 25:31     
 

We all remember Daniel in the Bible. Well in his youth he had been taken from his country as a slave to Babylon. Although he received special favors and training because of his character and exceptional ability, his life was spent under the rule of foreign and often hostile powers. During his life he faced, not only lions, but the constant threat of ungodly enemies with their wicked plots and schemes.    

In this difficult situation God gave to Daniel a vision of "One like the Son of Man" coming in glory to gather all nations of the earth under His dominion.    

When Jesus called Himself "the Son of Man," He indicated that He was the Messiah pictured in Daniel's vision. It is He who shall come to redeem His people. He still rules the kingdoms of men and gives them to whom He wills.    

Like Daniel, we are also surrounded by the forces of the ungodly. Often is seems that there is little hope for the present-day servant of God.     

Christian friends,  Let us lift up our eyes to the vision of Christ coming in His glory as the final consummation of all history. He still rules the world, and He shall bring about His final purposes for us in spite of all the evil plans of men and rule in glory throughout eternity.  

There's a bright day coming, a bright day coming;                                There's a bright coming by and by.                                                                             But its brightness shall only come to them that love the LORD.           Are you ready for that day to come?
