"Have we not all one Father? Hath not one God created us?" Malachi 2:10 by request
With every privilege goes responsibility. The privilege of being a parent brings with it the obligation to rear our children in the fear of God; the privilege of having parents makes it the duty of children to love and obey their parents. Ingratitude for blessings is a curse everywhere, and it is the cause of much sin and unhappiness.
If this is true in earthly things, how much more in spiritual matters? God is our Father. He created us. Whatever we are and have comes from His gracious hand. Gratitude to Him will compel us to accept Him as our Father and Savior and all our fellow men as brethren.
Christian friends, Are we not all brothers and sisters? This imposes the responsibility of loving and obeying our Father and of loving and serving one another.
Starting forth on life's rough way, Father, guide us; Oh, we know not what of harm May betide us; Neath the shadow of Thy wing, Father, hide us; Walking through this world, we pray, Go beside us.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - We cannot successfully separate our dealings with God from the rest of our lives. He must be LORD of all.
