Sunday greetings everyone - and happy November!

Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. As you know, Grandma Cybersalt and I are involved in ministry to refugees and are in contact with many persecuted Christians.

Today is an opportunity to remind you that you can make the difference in the life of a persecuted Christian - even if only by being a friend to them online to remind them they aren't forgotten. You can learn more about that at:

BTW, did you know that a persecuted Christian (SB) helps with the Cybersalt site now? I send him the Rev. James Snyder devotionals and he adds them to the site and then I include them in the mailings. This is just one site I am training him on so he can not only make a living in his country (the one today's video share takes place in) but also eventually train Christians in what he has learned.

Yesterday was 3 years since I retired from pastoring local churches. I know a little bit about the challenges many churches face to have a good quality website that is updated regularly! Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

Thank you to Ruth C. who let me know that in Sunday's mailing the Rev. James Snyder item was missing, with the Cybersalt News appearing a second time in its place. Sorry about that - the last thing we all need right now is extra news! James' article should appear in today's mailing.

This week's video share is a blast from my past - well, actually it's a wreck from my past.

I used to race at the local speedway where my nickname was the Pastor of Disaster. I raced in a couple of different classes, but my favourite was hit to pass demo trucks. In that class you aren't allowed to pass the truck in front of you without making some kind of "contact" with it. The "contact" can be bumping, spinning, flipping or a combination and while you are doing that to pass, the guy behind you has the same rule to pass you.

This video is of a big wreck I was involved in back in 2002. I'm driving the #61, blue, Ford f150 and yes, that's my rear end in the air when I hit the wall! You can watch it at this link.

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

I have been blessed to be working with a business coach in recent weeks. I wasn't really looking for one, and had anyone asked if I needed to talk to one I might not have answered yes. Apparently, because of what seems like divinely organized circumstances, it would seem God noticed I needed help and skipped asking if I wanted or needed one and provide me one anyway.

Last Friday, during our time together, I was explaining to him about "Chicken Thursday" and how many people think of me when they see chickens and send then me chicken pictures, cartoons and stories. (BTW, in school there were a few kids that looked at me and saw a chicken.) The whole thing has become a lot of fun for me and it seems many of you enjoy it too.

Well, until today maybe, lol. This week D. McCordic (who hit a home run by sharing that Dave Coverly Cartoon a few weeks ago) emailed me and shared a link to what one might describe a "chicken video."

Before you watch it, I want to apologize for what this may do to your ears, your brain, and maybe even to your day. I put the blame fully on her for sending me something she knows full well I don't have the taste, discernment, or self control to not pass along.

I would also like to apologize to the Pachelbel family for taking part in the mauling of the beautiful musical piece their ancestor composed. Johann Pachelbel passed away at the age of 52 in early March of 1706. While I am sure many viewed his death as having come too soon, we now know it was a blessing that he was taken before he could hear this video.
