Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

monkey protestThe news today is that Grandma Cybersalt and I are away at a conference in beautiful Banff, Alberta. This is related to the work that we (mostly Susan) do helping churches sponsor refugees to come to Canada and restart their lives.

Thanks to everyone who noticed that the quote was messed up in the most recent Digest. We're still not sure what happened there, but it is now fixed and the quote is accurate today.

Today's video share is one of the funniest I have watched in a while - maybe due partly to the painful truth it demonstrates about what we do to others when we don't pay people equally. I think you will laugh out loud at "Two Monkeys Were Paid Unequally."

inside a leafIt's the Victoria Day long weekend up here in Canada - which is extra special because we live in Victoria, BC. Traffic was crazy on Friday as people got an early start to their weekend and headed for the hills. Grandma Cybersalt are enjoying a quiet one here at home. I've always enjoyed the tranquility of staying at home while lots of people flee the city - as long as there isn't something they know that we don't!

Sunday greetings, everyone - and Happy Mother's Day to those who are celebrating!

I have returned to taking breaks from work, going outside, and lying down on the grass and handpicking weeds. Pulling out weeds is a great way to avoid pulling out hair!

Today's video share is about something that is super old and historical, but that people are still able to use as usual: The Cosmati Pavement at Westminster Abbey.

some colors will kill youNice weather has returned to Cybersalt World Headquarters - I just have to remember to get out of the house to enjoy some of it. The other day I opened the front door of our house to check the mailbox and when I did so I heard the house alarm start beeping it's countdown to going off. Apparently neither Grandma Cybersalt nor I had been out of the house yet that day - and it was 4:00pm! I suppose that is one of the perils of us both working at home - that and having a gold medal in staying at home during COVID!

Don't be alarmed by the title of Today's video share: "Some Colors will Kill You." None of them can kill you if you are only looking at them via video!
