"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love?"
Romans 8:38 (NLT)
My husband's sister has been visiting us the past few days. It has been a wonderful time for our family. Although she has lived in the far Northwest corner of our United States for many years, it is our delight when she returns each year for a short visit.
We laugh together. We shop together and we eat happy meals together. No matter how distant she is from us all those other days, when she comes home, everyone in the family gathers to visit with her. Just for those fast-paced days we luxuriate in every minute together. Our love for one another shows forth immensely at that time. I am convinced as much as we love her, nothing that has happened in those many months since we have seen her can diminish our love for her.

God's love for us is just like that. It is so great that nothing can ever separate us from His devotion. You may be facing difficulties and hardships in your life, but you can be totally secure in the fact that God still loves you.
Illness, death, or divorce cannot separate you from His great love.
My sister-in-law will return to her immediate family soon, but we are consoled in the fact that our love for one another remains the same. You, too, can be comforted by God's promise from the Scripture that nothing can ever separate you from His love.
