The Cybersalt Digest

Cybersalt News - May 25,2025

Sunday greetings, everyone!

Peru's most dangerous roadThings are settling down into their regularly scheduled programming here at Cybersalt World Headquarters. With no more trips, conferences, or medical tests on the immediate calendar, and the long days of summer close on the horizon, I am looking forward to catching up on work and trying out the cooling feature of our new heat pump.

Today's video share is about one of the world's most dangerous bus routes. I'm sure there is as much praying going on in this bus as there is during a regular Sunday Morning service - maybe even more!

New Boater

A powerboat driving directly toward us with bumpers out and wake visible. This past summer, down on Lake Isabella, located in the high desert, an hour east of Bakersfield, a fellow new to boating was having a problem.

No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't get his brand new 22-ft Bayliner to perform.  It wouldn't get on a plane at all, and was very sluggish in almost every manoeuvre, no matter how much power he supplied.

After about an hour of trying to make it go, he putted over to a nearby marina.  Maybe they could tell him what was wrong.

A thorough topside check revealed everything was in perfect working order: the engine ran fine, the outdrive went up and down, the prop was the correct size and pitch.

So, one of the marina guys jumped in the water to check underneath.  He came up choking on water, he was laughing so hard.

Under the boat, still strapped securely in place, was the trailer.

One-Liner #1926

Twinsies in Trouble: My Brother's Prison Call 🤯

A thirty-something man with beard & hands behind his head looking very surprised. My twin brother called me from prison.

He said, "You know how we finish each other's sentences...?"

Quote #2361

An image of Noah's ark jammed full of all kinds of animals.Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark!

  1. Do not miss the boat.
  2. Remember that we are all in the same boat.
  3. Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark.
  4. Stay fit. When you are 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
  5. Do not listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
  6. Build your future on high ground.
  7. For safety’s sake, travel in pairs.
  8. Speed is not always an advantage. The snails were aboard the ark with the cheetahs.
  9. When you are stressed, float for a while.
  10. Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
  11. No matter the storm, when you are with God, there’s always a rainbow waiting.

It's in the Valleys We Grow

valley mountains streamSometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then we have to remember
That it's in the valleys we grow.

If we always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
We would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

We have so much to learn
And our growth is very slow,
Sometimes we need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys we grow.

We do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.

The little valleys are nothing
When we picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.

Thank you for the valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow!

Rev. James Snyder, God's Penman, writes . . . .

There’s No Place Like Home

Silhouette of a couple sitting at the side of the ocean watching the sun set.Finishing my morning work, The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage appeared at my office and asked, “Do you know what day it is?”

I didn’t know if this was a trick question because she always puts a trick question before me.
