Wimpy Dad

A young girl with her head on a pillow, covers up and eyes open. One summer evening during a violent thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small girl into bed.  She was about to turn off the light when she asked with a tremor in her voice, "Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?"

The mother smiled and gave her a reassuring hug.

"I can't dear," she said.  "I have to sleep in Daddy's room."

A long silence was broken at last by her shaking little voice:  "The big sissy."

The bus company, Lothian Buses in Scotland, donated the coins to charity.

Jesus looked directly at them and asked, "Then what is the meaning of that which is written: "'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone'? - Luke 20:17

Susan Page writes . . . .

Become What We Behold

A close-up of a single magnolia bloom.- photo by Susan Page“Give up the struggle and the fight; relax in the omnipotence of the Lord Jesus; look up into His lovely face and as you behold Him, He will transform you into His likeness. You do the beholding--He does the transforming. There is no short-cut to holiness.” - Alan Redpath

The topic of transformation is … quite frankly, transforming! Consider the renewal we see all around us. The tadpole changes into a frog. The caterpillar metamorphizes into a beautiful butterfly and the downpour of a fresh spring rain brings renewal. Transformation is displayed in God’s very own handiwork.
