Cybersalt News

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

boredom can be goodYou may have on the news that parts of the province of Ontario (3,000 miles away from Cybersalt World Headquarters) experienced an ice storm last Friday and that power was out for well over 100,000 people. My parents were, and still are, affected by the outage: today is their 6th day without electricity. As hard as that sounds, they also live in the country where their water supply is a well, so without electricity they also have had no running water for that whole time. There is more I could go into about what they are suffering right now, but I will leave things there and ask you to pray for them in this trial which has heaped up even more upon struggles they already are facing in life.

Today's video share contains a lot of helpful information to help us as targets in the war for our attention.

Grandpa and the Computer

A scruffy dog with its nose resting on a laptop keyboard looking directly at us.The computer swallowed Grandpa
Yes honestly, its true.
He pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.

It's devoured him completely
The thought just makes me squirm.
Maybe he's caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind.
I've even used the internet
But nothing could I find.

I asked Jeeves in desperation
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative
Not a thing was found online.

So, if someday in your 'Inbox'
My Grandpa you should see.
Please 'Scan', 'Copy' and 'Paste' him
In an e-mail back to me.

One-Liner #1913

Long shadows of 3 people on an inlaid brick floor.Fun fact: Your shadow is a confirmation that light has traveled nearly 93 million miles unobstructed, only to be deprived of reaching the ground in the final few feet thanks to you.

A Writer's Regrets! 📝

Several emperor penguins with a family of 3 near the front of the shot.I wrote a book on penguins.

Honestly, it would have been much easier if I wrote it on paper.

Quote #2348

A young woman lying on a grassy field with knees bent looking up to the sky."Procrastination is a dish best served eventually."

Virginia Earthquake

It is a cemetery, but it looks alot like a garden with vines and flowers galore. The U.S. Geological Survey has determined that the epicenter of the Virginia earthquake was in a graveyard just outside of Washington, D.C.

The cause appears to be the Founding Fathers rolling over in their graves.

Susan Page writes . . . .

Father, Forgive

A tree trunk with a heart shaped hole where a branch used to be.- photo by Susan PageFather, forgive,” I know not why
or how these words could be Your cry
Forgiveness was your heartfelt plea
as you hung suffering on that tree

Betrayed by those who were your friends
They fled, and hid, and in the end
You still forgave and gave your life
a willing gift, a sacrifice

Father, forgive,” this was Your prayer
for those who beat and stripped you bare
Salvation came at such a cost
It was through death You saved the lost

Your wounds were raw, Your pain so great
Yet, You showed love, instead of hate
You offered grace so we might know
this kind of love we too can show

"Father, forgive," when we hold tight
and choose the wrong, instead of right
Forgiveness in those final hours
Lord, fill us with forgiving power
