Cybersalt News
Sunday greetings, everyone - and welcome to March!
You may already be tired of people going on about how much they love their air fryers (No, I am not talking about members of a mendicant order who serve as flight attendants fpr the Vatican airline!) Grandma Cybersalt is away for 2 nights, which for me usually means a peanut butter on white bread for supper. But not last night! I ate something hot that I cooked in the air fryer. It's as simple as putting something away in a desk drawer, except you take it out after 20 minutes and it's the temperature of the sun! I also have to wash the drawer - but it's still a great step up from my usual self-care!
Today's video share is of an anvil floating in Mercury. Did you know that many lighthouses used to have a bath of mercury to help keep the light steady? The mercury was used to dampen the vibrations of the lighthouse lantern, which helped to keep the light beam steady and focused. However, over time, the mercury would slowly evaporate, releasing toxic fumes into the air. These fumes could be inhaled by the lighthouse keepers.
It is now believed that mercury poisoning may have been a contributing factor to the mental health problems experienced by many lighthouse keepers in the past. These problems were often attributed to the isolation and loneliness of lighthouse life, but it is now thought that mercury poisoning may have played a role as well.
I'm not sure if buddy should have been playing with mercury in this video, but he did so it's interesting to see such a heavy thing float!

Someone is Knocking
A new pastor moved into town and went out one Saturday to visit his parishioners.
All went well until he came one house. It was obvious that someone was home, but no one came to the door even after he had knocked several times.
Finally, he took out his card, wrote on the back "Revelation 3:20 " and stuck it in the door.
The next day, as he was counting the offering he found his card in the collection plate. Below his message as notation "Genesis 3:10".
Revelation 3:20 reads:
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he will with me."
Genesis 3:10 reads:
"And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked."

Every Day
Every day I need you Lord
But this day especially,
I need some extra strength
To face what ever is to be.
This day more than any day
I need to feel you near,
To fortify my courage
And to overcome my fear.
By myself, I cannot meet
The challenge of the hour,
There are times when humans help,
But we need a higher power
To assist us bear what must be borne,
and so dear Lord, I pray -
Hold on to my trembling hand
And be near me today.
Amen.

My Days of Wonder in the Hospital
My plans for the New Year were horribly changed by ending up in the hospital.
Around the middle of the month, it seemed like I may have had the flu. After all, everybody around me had the flu, and I just wanted to fit in with society in general.
