Cybersalt News
Sunday greetings, everyone!
With all the fires in Western Canada this summer, Cybersalt World Headquarters (on the Southern Tip of Vancouver Island) has gotten off pretty easy with very few days of having even a little bit of smoke in them. However, this weekend we're getting some, as can be seen on the website https://firesmoke.ca/forecasts/current
I chose to share today's video on a Sunday because from the look on the guy's face as he gets out of the water, I'm pretty sure between then and when he jumped he was praying!

Do As I Say!
An old blacksmith realized he was soon going to quit working so hard. He picked out a strong young man to become his apprentice.
The old fellow was crabby and exacting.
"Don't ask me a lot of questions," he told the boy. "Just do whatever I tell you to do."
One day the old blacksmith took an iron out of the forge and laid it on the anvil.
"Get the hammer over there," he said. "When I nod my head, hit it real good and hard."
Now the town is looking for a new blacksmith....

I find it hard to believe that bears made porridge and the only thing wrong with it was the temperature.

Beef Pun
My boyfriend and I were lunching at a sidewalk café in Huntington Beach, CA.
Our waitress looked like a real surfer girl; athletic with a great tan and blond hair.
Mulling over the menu, my guy asked her if the roast beef was rare.
The waitress gave us a long blank look, then replied, "Well, no. We have it, like, just about every day."

Long Marriages, Comfortable Relationships
Because my parents were married on Aug 27, my dad gives my mom an "anniversary" card on the 27th of every month as a way of showing her how much he loves her and appreciates their 40 years together.
I was talking to Dad this weekend and he told me that when he gave Mom her most recent card she told him, "I'm so glad you do this every month. It reminds me it's time to give the dogs their flea medication."

These Old Bones of Mine
I had a frightening experience the other day. I know I must be getting old because things that never frightened me before frighten me. I also see things I never saw before.
