Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

No 6207 A Study in Steel 1935I had a really fun night out on Thursday with a friend at the movies. I can't tell you the movie we watched because some people might not be able to bear to know what it was. But, let me just say that every now and then it's good to just have some stupid fun with a buddy, lol.

Today's video share is a video showing the old-school process of making a British Railway Steam Locomotive given the number number 6207. It is pretty cool in and of itself, but it come with a bonus. One of the fun things about railfanning is knowing the life and history of specific engines. That is the info you will find at the extra link below.

Lobster Tails

lobster plateA guy was down on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco when he saw a seafood restaurant and a sign on the Specials Board which read, "Big Lobster Tales, $5 each."

Amazed at the great value, he said to the waitress, "$5 each for lobster tails . . . is that correct?"

"Yes," she said. "It's our special just for today."

"Well," he said, "they must be little lobster tails."

"No," she replied, "they're really big!"

"Are you sure they aren't green lobster tails - and a little bit tough?"

"No," she said, "they're really big, red lobster tails."

"Big red lobster tails, $5 each," he said, amazed. "They must be old lobster tails!"

"No, they're definitely today's."

"Today's big red lobster tails - $5 each?" he repeated, astounded.

"Yes," she insisted.

"Well, here's my five dollars," he said, "I'll take one."

She took the money and led him to a table where she invited him to sit down. She then sat down next to him, put her hand on his shoulder, leaned over close to him and said,

"Once upon a time there was a really big red lobster ..."

Guilt, Breaking The Law, Righteousness, Purity

police pull overA policeman pulled over a car, walked up to the driver's window, and asked the man if he knew why he was pulled over.

"No," the man replied.

"You failed to stop at the stop sign," the cop explained.

"But I did slow down!" the guy argued.

The cop shook his head. "You are required to stop. That's why they're called stop signs."

The man started to get belligerent. "Stop, slow down -- what's the the difference?"

The cop pulled out his baton. "I can show you. I'm going to start hitting you with my baton. You tell me if you want me to stop or slow down."

The Epitome of Boredom

bored puppyI have never considered myself to be boring. I may be boring to other people but not to myself.

As you get older, you find out that there are many boring things in this world.

When younger, I can't ever remember being bored except when my father was lecturing me on how I should behave. I'm not sure he was very successful at that.

I wasn't bored with anything, and I always found something to gain my attention.

Fasting

fastingAlmost every religion in the world has the concept of fasting. Muslims keep thirsty fasts in the year and Jews keep twenty-two fasts in the year. Christians keep a forty day fast each year and the church calls this season Lent. Lent means the spring season, which means fasting brings a new spiritual spring into the life of believers, and they enjoy it, but Christians can keep fasting anytime in the year.
