The Cybersalt Digest

Cybersalt News

Sunday greetings, everyone - and welcome to October!

Train Time Imax MovieGrandma Cybersalt and I have seasons passes for the local Imax theatre. I realize that make us sound kind of old, but it actually helps keep us looking young - no, not because the theatre is dark!

Each year we renew our memberships the theatre re-uses our pictures from the first time we purchased! As long as we keep renewing we'll be forever young. Though, I suppose there will come a day when we we are so old they accuse us of having a fake membership card! If that happens, at least we'll be able to start over at a senior's rate.

We watched a new movie at the Imax theatre the other day. The trailer for "Train Time" is today's video share.

"How come so cheap?" replied the customer.

The travel agent told her, "The days are July 11, 12 and 13. The nights are July 21 and 22."

Bible Reading

bible 2When I was about 20 yrs. old I was asked by a Minister in our church who my favorite fictional author was. I told him I was reading the complete works of Sherlock Holmes by Doyle.

He asked if I skipped chapters and pages or read part of one story then skipped to another. When I told him I read a story from start to finish he asked me why I would read the greatest book ever written any differently.

That was 25 yrs ago. I have since read the Bible from cover to cover 4 times. It was the best advice I ever received. Thanks to Pastor Stewart I've learned more than I could possibly have imagined.

Rev. James Snyder, God's Penman, writes . . . .

Why God Gave Me a Tongue

tongue and tasteOne thing about getting older is that you begin to understand the old saying that you don’t know what you don’t know. It has been so true for me. When I think I know everything, something comes up that I never even thought about.

Sometimes The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage brings up something that I need to learn and she is a persuasive teacher.

Truth be told, I didn’t really know what my tongue was all about. It’s been in my mouth from before the time I was born. And yet recently, I discovered a new aspect of my tongue.
