Oh look, Chicken Thursday! 

I'm off to the dentist today, which really won't be one of the highlights of my week. However, all things considered, it's not the worst cavity search one can be a part of!

The school of agriculture's dean of admissions was inter-viewing a prospective student, "Why have you chosen this career?" he asked.

"I dream of making a million dollars in farming, like my father," the student replied.

"Your father made a million dollars in farming?" echoed the dean much impressed.

"No," replied the applicant. "But he always dreamed of it."

I don't always go the extra mile, but when I do it's because I missed my exit.

A farmer brought his daughter a pet pig, which she called "Stinky" when it was in her room but called "Ballpoint" when it was in the sty.

"Tell me," her father asked her, "why do you have two names for your pig?"

"That's easy," she replied. "Ballpoint is just his pen name."

I worked as an accountant in a paper mill where my boss decided that it would improve motivation to split a bonus between the two shifts based on what percentage of the total production each one accomplished.

The workers quickly realized that it was easier to sabotage the next shift than to make more paper. Co-workers put glue in locks, loosened nuts on equipment so it would fall apart, you name it. The bonus scheme was abandoned after about ten days, to avoid all out civil war.
